Kicking off Adventureland’s milestone 50^th celebration, the Altoona resort is thrilled to announce an exciting new event for the 2024 season, the Storm the Park 5k. It takes place on Opening Day, Saturday, May 18, at 8 a.m. Adventureland is partnering with the Altoona Running Club to put on the race. In the spirit of giving back, a portion of the proceeds from the Storm the Park 5k will be donated to Caring Hands in Altoona.

Registration is now open, and participants can secure their spot at the starting line by visiting https://tinyurl.com/ycy332st. The registration fee includes a finisher medal, a short-sleeve shirt, a parking pass and a ticket to Adventureland for Opening Day.

There are several great stories to be told this upcoming season as Adventureland celebrates 50 years of fun-filled days. From the opening of the reimagined Underground, the world’s only indoor wooden roller coaster, to brand new events like Bernie’s Birthday Bash and Festival of Decades, there is always something fun and new at Adventureland!
