NEWTON, Iowa (July 3, 2025) – Gearing up for INDYCAR’s return to Iowa next week, INDYCAR and Cumulus Media Des Moines today announced that both NTT INDYCAR SERIES races during Sukup INDYCAR Race Weekend, July 11-13 at Iowa Speedway, will air on one of the state’s most beloved radio stations: 92.5 KJJY, Iowa’s Country Station.
As the excitement builds for this summer’s high-speed action at Iowa Speedway, fans across central Iowa will now be able to tune into 92.5 KJJY for exclusive INDYCAR Radio Network coverage of Sukup INDYCAR Race Weekend. Both the Synk 275 powered by Sukup on Saturday, July 12 (3:30 pm CT) and the Farm to Finish 275 powered by Sukup on Sunday, July 13 (11:30 am CT) will be broadcast live on 92.5 KJJY. The new partnership brings together two Iowa icons—NTT INDYCAR SERIES racing and KJJY—to create an unforgettable experience for fans both at the track and at home.
“Iowa’s INDYCAR Race Weekend teams up with Iowa’s Country station, 92.5 KJJY,” said Danger, Program Director at 92.5 KJJY. “We’re the station to make and celebrate the memories made here in central Iowa, and it makes sense to bring the prestige and history of INDYCAR racing at Iowa Speedway to our airwaves. For those coming to Iowa Speedway, they’ll be able to enjoy the country they know and love throughout race weekend. And for those not coming to the track, they’ll get the INDYCAR action wherever they’re listening.”
In partnership with Cumulus Media Des Moines, which operates four radio stations and digital platforms from its Urbandale studios, including 95 KGGO, Nash FM 97.3, 92.5 KJJY and 98.3 The Vibe, 92.5 KJJY will become the exclusive INDYCAR Radio Network affiliate station in Des Moines for Sukup INDYCAR Race Weekend. Originally launched in 2022, KJJY will also bring an expanded on-site presence to Iowa Speedway throughout the event weekend.
The INDYCAR Radio Network is the premier destination for thrilling, wheel-to-wheel coverage of every lap during the course of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES season. Originally founded as the IMS Radio Network in 1952, the INDYCAR Radio Network has been the trusted audio home of the Indianapolis 500 and INDYCAR racing for over eight decades.
KJJY listeners can expect an action-packed weekend filled with live race coverage, exciting ticket giveaways, exclusive driver interviews, behind-the-scenes features and the country music they love. Whether fans are watching in the grandstands at Iowa Speedway or tuning in across the state, 92.5 KJJY will bring every thrilling moment, every lap and every pass directly to their listeners, thanks to the comprehensive coverage from the INDYCAR Radio Network broadcast team.
“We are thrilled to be able to expand our partnership with the Cumulus Media Des Moines team and specifically 92.5 KJJY,” said Kristin Stepinski, General Manager of Sukup INDYCAR Race Weekend. “Their deep roots in Iowa and commitment to celebrating the spirit of our community make them the perfect partner to broadcast both NTT INDYCAR SERIES races at Iowa Speedway. We know KJJY will capture the energy, excitement and hometown pride that make this event so special.”
Iowa Speedway’s iconic doubleheader weekend is set to deliver even more high-speed action in 2025, as both NTT INDYCAR SERIES races will be extended to 275 laps, 25 more than last year’s 250-lap showdowns. The added distance means even more intensity, strategy and edge-of-your-seat action as INDYCAR’s best take on the ‘Fastest Short Track on the Planet.’
