A trailer for the next MCU film is finally here! Marvel’s Black Widow is hitting theaters with a punch next May.
With what happened to the title character in Avengers: Endgame, this film is set to be a prequel taking place some time before the events of Avengers: Infinity War.
Black Widow has always had an ambiguous past. There is really not a lot in the movies that tell us where she came from or where she’s been.
I have a feeling this film is going to give us incite into both of those things. From the looks of the trailer, Black Widow is reuniting with people she has had connections with for quite some time. Her family.
Famed Marvel villain the Taskmaster will be the antagonist of this film as well.
All of these things do get me excited for this movie. But I have to admit, I’m not the biggest fan of prequels.
While I almost have no doubt in my mind this movie will be good and a ton of fun to watch, I kind of wish we got this film a few years ago. Before the recent big Avengers movies.
It just feels a little anticlimactic to go back in time after a movie with huge stakes like Avengers: Endgame.
But if I know Marvel, they know what they are doing with their movies. I bet Black Widow is releasing when it is for a very good reason. I’ve doubted Marvel in the past, and they have always came through to prove me wrong!
No matter what though, I’m so happy we are getting another chance to see Scarlett Johansson kick butt as Black Widow yet again. And this time, as the star!
